Testimony: I grew up going to church and assumed that simply knowing about Jesus made me a Christian. In college, I sought my value in whether or not others thought I was successful and fun to be around. I grew close to a group of friends and my life seemed to be going well. But my sophomore year, I lived in a dorm that was isolated from my friends, and, spending extended periods of time alone, I questioned who I really was. About that time, God sent someone into my life who invited me to a retreat with Campus Outreach. God pursued my heart on the retreat, and revealed to me that he valued me and wanted to have an intimate relationship with me; he even died on a cross to restore our broken relationship. I surrendered my life to Him on Valentine’s Day, 2009. Since then, God has been transforming me through his grace, and has given me a burden to lay down my life in order to build up other women in the Gospel.
